A Father's Voice
In parenting, a father's role
Is often seen as less than whole
His voice may fade, his words ignored
As mother's will takes centerboard
He longs to guide, to shape and mold
His children's hearts with love so bold
But in the home, he's pushed aside
As mother's whims become the guide
Her views may dominate the scene
And fathers feel like they're unseen
Their worth reduced to just a cheque
While mother's ways are deemed correct
But fathers have a heart so true
A love that's deep, a soul that's new
They want to help, to do their part
To shape their children's minds and heart
So let us hear the father's voice
And give him room to make a choice
For in the end, it takes them both
To raise a child and guide them.
